The roof louvers, positioned within the crossbeam of the pergola, offer versatile functionality. They can tilt through 150 degrees, allowing manipulation of light and shade, or fully retract for an open-air alfresco experience. When adverse weather strikes, the closed position, secured by interlocking louvers, ensures complete water tightness and can withstand high winds, up to gale force 12 (model dependent). Integrated guttering within the cross beams, connected to concealed rainwater pipes in selected post uprights, efficiently drains water when the roof is closed.
To enhance versatility, windproof screens can be added to the sides, offering protection from strong breezes, low-level sunlight, and ensuring privacy from neighbouring buildings. Integrated LED lighting in the roof louvers and/or cross beams, coupled with infra-red heaters, guarantee a comfortable environment year-round.
Installation options include freestanding on the patio, attached as a lean-to against the property using concealed fixing plates and brackets, or integrated without posts into building overhangs. Operation is facilitated by integrated motors and receivers within the framework, controlled through a radio-controlled remote or a convenient smartphone app.
